This weekend, the Wright City microchurch had the distinct privilege of partnering with our city and our community to hand out free school supplies to students for their upcoming school year. We were given the choice to choose a supply that we wanted to contribute. We decided to supply scissors and glue sticks.

What we felt was important to do was to allow the children to have a choice of one special item themselves. We wanted to give them something that they didn't necessarily need but gave them a choice within the process.
One of the large issues within school districts, especially a small one like ours, is often the need is greater than the supply. Our hope is that by coming out to see the need and partner with others like-minded like us, we can start to see these needs shrink.
We know we serve a big God and He wants to see our community change for the better even more than we do. God showed up in the big and small this weekend and we expect big things from Him for our community in the future.
