If you haven't read the first 2 parts titled 'Listening Prayer: How to Designate a Place to Connect with God' and 'Pressing Pause: How Silence Deepens Our Connection with God', check those out first.
The final step is:
PRACTICE
As we make listening prayer a practice in our lives we need to engage our faith and journey towards believing what the word says about God.
Jeremiah 33:3 - 'Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.'

I believe God hides things for us not from us, He wants us to seek Him in order to find His will and purpose for our lives.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 - 'For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.'
John 15:12-12 - 'When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth for He will not speak on His own authority but whatever He hears, He will speak and He will declare to you the things that are to come.'
God has made it clear in His word that He wants to speak to us and He can speak to us in many ways.
Firstly through the bible, and then through visions, dreams, gifts of the Spirit and the counsel of trustworthy people.
I hope this encourages you to carve out some regular time to spend with the Lord in silent contemplation.
