We have been meditating in a story found in Mark 2:1-12 where a crippled man is carried by four friends to get healed by Jesus who is trapped in his home, such was the size of the crowd.

We do not want to write on how to develop and manage a great team but rather how a team changed a man's life forever. Our belief is that a key ingredient of the next season for the Church will be collaboration and this will require humility, servanthood and the spirit of Philippians 2:1-4.
Four Men
Have a picture of a brighter future
Have a picture of a brighter future for another
Have a picture of a brighter future that can only be found in Jesus
Have a picture of a brighter future and will not be deterred
Have a picture of a brighter future that involves change
Have a picture of a brighter future that involves letting go of a traditional way, a door
Have a picture of a brighter future that is only possible by violating accepted social norms
Have a picture of a brighter future that only happens by faith
Have a picture of a brighter future that involves getting your hands dirty
One Man
Steps into a brighter because a team of friends let go of their future
Steps into a brighter future by breaking social norms
Steps into a brighter future by letting go of everything he depends upon
Steps into a brighter future by suffering indignity
Steps into a brighter future by listening to Jesus
Steps into a brighter future by being in the Presence of Jesus
Steps into a brighter future by discovering a new identity
Steps into a brighter future by being a part of a small faith community
Steps into a brighter future …by faith
We
Step into a brighter future by creating another entry point
Step into a brighter future by helping others
Step into a brighter future by breaking with accepted norms
Step into a brighter future by listening to Jesus
Step into a brighter future by enjoying the gift of faith
Step into a brighter future by being a team member of a small dynamic community that worships together, enjoys community and a shared mission
Here are a couple of questions:
Do you know the vision of the church down the road and how you might help them with their goals that aligns with the gifts God has given your church?
How easy is it for your church to pivot in these times as easily as these four men and what church/ministry norms may have to be violated?
